I guess that's how I, as Pastor, see our church here at New Hope. We zero in on sound, tried and true Biblical principles...we always check what we do with the light of God's eternal truth in His Word. And yet at the same time, we never lose sight of what's going on around us, and seek ways to implement the timeless Word of God into the hustle-n-hurry of the 2000's.
I am privileged to pastor a group of caring, loving people who genuinely have the concern and care about the Lord's great work. We look back to the Bible as the foundation of our faith, and also look ahead at the great future we believe our church has.
I am so glad that you have chosen to become a part of this growing body of believers. As we surge forward in the years to come, and as the Lord continues to bless this group of people, we hope to make a mark for our Lord on a world which isn't quite sure of which end is up.
As your pastor, I hope to provide you with leadership based on a servant's heart. I want to be available to help you in whatever way I can, and at the same time to know that you are there to encourage and advise me on the things that are important to you. Believe me , we are in this TOGETHER! I guess that's what makes NHMBC so special......this church effort is joined by all.
Let me encourage you to be faithful to your new church right from the start. Attend our Sunday school classes; participate in our Sunday evening program; come learn with us during our mid-week Bible study on Wednesdays; remember to maintain a consistent prayer life and personal Bible study practice; don't forget your financial responsibilities to your Church; remember to bring your family and loved ones with you.....there's so much to do with your church life than just filling a pew on Sundays at 11am! and so many blessings when we roll up our sleeves, pitch in, and become absorbed into this body of believers.
Please allow this letter of encouragement to stand as my invitation to you to get involved, and to join in, and to be faithful, and most importantly, to love your Lord.
Great things lie ahead for NHMBC.. I'm glad you've joined with us in this great effort. I also know that God will richly bless you and your family for your membership with our church.
